Plaza Tapatia was founded on February 5, 1982. It is located in the center of Guadalajara, Jalisco; Mexico's second capitol. Guadalajara is the birthplace of Mexico's mariachi bands. Mariachi dances are known for their elegant costumes and strong stomping that make floors and hearts vibrate. Dances such as the Jarabe Tapatio, El son de la Negra and Negra de mis Pesares can often be seen in Mexico's famous Plaza Tapatia.
